From idea to MVP

Billeto started as a Facebook messenger bot. The founder wanted to expand it, so Javier, a skilled developer, and I joined the team.
Our aim was to create an app where people could receive remittances and use that money to pay in stores in Zamora.
After collaborating closely with the Founder, we crafted a simple app to allow stores to charge users.

Shaping a Rewards Program
Shaping a Rewards Program
To attract more users, we decided to introduce a rewards program to explain 'cashback' to them.
We set up a 'lottery.' Each time users paid with our app, they got a chance to win money. We planned to build all this within Facebook Messenger

Moving to an Android App
Moving to an Android App
Thanks to the lottery, our user base expanded, and we hit our first 1,000 users. Around this time, we secured our seed funding to continue.
We designed and launched the first version of the app, which included:
Paying with Billeto using a barcode.
Participating in the Lottery.
Requesting a remittance.
Depositing and withdrawing money.

I took some time to develop a small design system. This made the design and development process smoother and helped keep our app consistent

Learning ↔︎ Iterating
Learning ↔︎ Iterating
After a few months, we reached a point where we were constantly delivering and learning.
The founder and I worked together to prioritize, brainstorm, and design various flows to continue learning and growing.

When I left the team, we had secured our first round of investment and were approaching 2,000 app users.
We evolved from a messenger chatbot to an Android wallet that people found valuable. I was really proud of the collaboration we achieved between the founder, the development team, and me.
