Finding problems & opportunities
Finding problems & opportunities
Beyond aimed to connect US companies with Mexican professionals like developers, designers, and marketers.
We faced issues in our recruiting process. It was hard to find the right talent, and the process was long and tiring.
So we mapped the current process to spot opportunities.

Shaping new job descriptions
Shaping new job descriptions
We spoke with some candidates and found that our job descriptions lacked details and felt too serious. They were making people less eager to apply.
Then we started working on solutions:
We held brainstorming sessions to think of more useful content.
Sketching sessions with the founder.
Wireframes, mock-ups, and then moved to development.

Iterating our website
Iterating our website
We also realized that people didn't really get what our company was about.
We weren't clearly explaining our value or focusing on what users wanted. So, we decided to redesign and relaunch our website.

Let's get some traffic
Let's get some traffic
People weren't hearing about us. After some interviews, we learned that people like to see other people's stories.
We had the advantage of a great community full of talented individuals, but outsiders couldn't see this.
That's when we started sharing stories of people in our community.

Content, content, content
Content, content, content
Once we put these stories on our website, we saw a huge increase in traffic.
Next, we looked into what our users were interested in. We found they enjoyed content that helped them grow personally and professionally, like Harvard Business Review and Atomic Habits.
So, we began creating similar content and shared it in a new section named 'Brainworks.'

We boosted our numbers by making content that people were interested in and improving our job applications:
We got 3 times more applications than when we began.
Our website traffic went up by 4 times.
Something great I learned here was to really involve everyone in the design process, like founders, developers, and recruiters. They have a lot to offer.
